Hi
I'm a retired database developer and my current preferred pastime is DJing in my local pub on Sat nights. I'm using my own DJ software created with VB6 (started in 2002 and much modified over the years) and am now working to control it via smartphone, so I can roam the venue, take requests, tweak the volume & EQ, that sort of thing. I've developed some screen forms which totally fill my phone's screen and use the remote desktop profile to interact with them. The forms are centred on the PC screen and I use the default remote zoom of 150%. Works just fine and looks like a phone app.
One little niggle is the presence of the touchscreen navigation and zoom controls, which (in this context) I'll never use. It would be nice if it were possible to remove those controls using configuration, perhaps just leaving a nice row of controls along the bottom of the display. If that's too much work, maybe an option for the control area to display 'minimised' when the profile starts.
in the Vectir server, I have the remote desktop profile enabled and all others disabled. This means there is only one profile option displayed on the phone. In this circumstance would it be possible to 'auto-select' it?
Is it possible to suspend the remote app manually, in order to preserve battery power? Perhaps using the phone's Sleep/Wake button?
Thanks
Stuart McCall
