Hi.

When you enabled WiFi, do you remember windows firewall asking if you wanted to grant network access to Vectir? If not, or if you clicked cancel, can you please check to make sure an exception exists in Windows firewall for the Vectir PC software.

If you want to keep trying with Bluetooth, can you please let me know what Bluetooth stack you are running? (i.e. Microsoft, BlueSoleil, Toshiba or Broadcomm/Widcomm)

Thanks
Daniel

Sorry for the late reply.

The following link will show you how to add an exception for a program in Windows 7
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/542-windows-firewall-add-remove-exception.html

Under step 6, add an exception for Vectir.

Also make sure you have the correct network IP address selected on the WiFi Remote Control dialog in the Vectir PC software. This is found in the right hand setup panel under Hardware > WiFi. If multiple networks are listed in the drop down box and you are not sure which network your phone and PC are connected to, try each IP address one by one ensuring to enter the same IP address in the phone app.

Hope that helps

Hi,

Sorry to hear you have not been able to connect with WiFi. The other thing you could try is establishing an ad-hoc (peer to peer) WiFi connection between your phone and PC then try again over the new IP address. Instructions for setting up an ad-hoc network differ between varioius makes and models phone and I would recommend looking for documentation specific to your phone.

I'm not sure what the -5105 error is. Do you see this in the Vectir WiFi app?
